Concrete, pavers and retaining walls

Steep lots are normal in Trail and Rossland. A good wall turns a slope into a usable yard, and solid flatwork gives you somewhere dry to walk and park.

Retaining walls

We build walls from concrete block, rock and timber. The right choice depends on height, how much the slope is pushing and the look you want.

Drainage behind the wall is what keeps it standing. Gravel backfill and a drain pipe let water out instead of building up pressure.

Walls over about 4 ft (1.2 m) usually need an engineer's design in Trail, Montrose, Rossland, Nelson and Grand Forks (Warfield's rule starts at 1.5 m). We'll tell you if yours does.
